Meet Dr. Anjana Gupta
Dr. Anjana Gupta has aspired to be a dentist since childhood and feels fortunate to share her passion for dentistry with her dedicated team and loyal patients. For her, Smiles on Niles is the realization of a lifelong dream, and she strives to make every patient’s experience positive, comfortable, and rewarding.
Dr. Gupta joined the practice of Dr. Lisa McShane in June 2011 and became a co-owner in 2017, assuming full ownership in 2020. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Indiana University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2007. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Lakeland Valley Dental Society, and Mommy Dentists in Business.
Originally from Elkhart, Indiana, Dr. Gupta now lives in St. Joseph with her husband, Seth Brown, and their two children, Alice and Andre. In her free time, she enjoys the beauty of Lake Michigan, traveling, exploring new cuisines, and, most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
Registered Dental Hygienists
Registered dental hygienists are professionals, licensed by the state, who promote optimal oral health through preventive and educational services. Our team of registered dental hygienists includes:
Dr. Soo Sim joined Dr. McShane and Dr. Gupta as a part-time associate dentist in March 2019. She was born and raised in Northwest Indiana and attended Indiana University, where she received her degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. Dr. Sim then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated alongside Dr. Gupta in 2007. Dr. Sim and and Dr. Gupta have been best friends since meeting their very first day of dental school, and working together is a bit of a dream come true. She currently resides in Chicago and travels to St. Joe to practice. She enjoys trying different restaurants, running along the lake, and going to concerts. Dr. Sim enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends (especially Alice!) and she is very excited about bringing her passion for dentistry to St. Joe!
Kindra Mock, RDH
Kindra graduated from the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Dental Hygiene Program in 1996 and is certified in local anesthesia administration in the State of Michigan. Kindra has worked with Dr. McShane since 2000 and Dr. Gupta since 2011. Dr. Gupta says one of Kindra's best qualities is her ability to make people laugh. Kindra has a laugh that is contagious, and we all love hearing it throughout the day!

Kindra and her husband, Kevin, have two beautiful children. Kindra enjoys camping with her family in the summertime, going to concerts, and watching ND football.
Leanie Staniszewski, RDH
Leanie graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Indiana University South Bend in 1994. She joined Dr. Gupta and her team in January 2023, bringing more than 20 years of experience as a dental hygienist. The team enjoys learning new things from Leanie’s experience, and she also contributes a calming presence to the office.
Leanie lives in Berrien Center with her husband and three beautiful children. Outside of her role at Smiles on Niles, she enjoys traveling, being in nature, and gardening.

Corin Ritter, RDA
Corin graduated from the Lake Michigan College Dental Assisting Program in 2004. Corin has worked with Dr. McShane since 2010 and Dr. Gupta since 2011. Corin is a registered dental assistant (RDA) and also a "jack of all trades." Corin has been Dr. Gupta's right-hand woman for years now. Corin's chair-side manner and knowledge of dentistry is second to none.

Corin grew up in Stevensville but considers Berrien Springs her hometown. She and her husband, Colin, have three incredible children. Corin stays busy with her kids' activities and loves every second of it. She enjoys sitting on her patio, going to the Mark III with her family, and spending quality time together.
Lindsay Ryno, RDA
Lindsay has been a Registered Dental Assistant for over 11 years, with experience in both general dentistry and oral surgery. She proudly joined our office in 2022 and loves helping patients feel comfortable while making their dental visits a little brighter.
Outside the office, Lindsay is happiest when she’s outdoors camping, hiking, or exploring with her husband, their daughter, and their dog. And when she’s not out adventuring, you’ll probably find her curled up with a good book!
Office Manager
Dawn Gregule
Dawn is one of the first faces to welcome you to our office. Dawn is not only a fantastic receptionist, she is the office manager. She has worked with Dr. McShane since 1993, Dr. Gupta since 2011, and has been in the field of dentistry for over 30 years. Dawn keeps the office running smoothly, is our "go-to" person regarding scheduling and insurance, and is basically the captain of this dental ship! Dawn started her career in dentistry with chair-side experience, and it has evolved into a life-long education in anything dentistry-related. Dawn will greet you with a smile whether it's when you come in the door at Smiles on Niles or pass her in the aisle at Meijer. She never forgets a face!

Dawn graduated from St. Joseph High School and has two lovely daughters. She enjoys a good margarita and good friends.
Receptionist / Patient Coordinator
Amanda (Mandy) Williams
Mandy is the newest member of our team and brings 10 years of experience in the dental field. She began her dental career through a high school co-op program in 2006 and quickly developed a passion for all things dental. After spending several years as a stay-at-home mom caring for her two children, Maverick (11) and Lauren (14), Mandy decided in to rejoin the workforce in 2022. She spent some time as a receptionist at a local medical office before returning to her true passion: dentistry. Mandy was thrilled to land a position at her dream dental office.

Always willing to help with a kind disposition and a bright smile, Mandy goes above and beyond to ensure that every patient has the best experience possible. She lives in Fairplain with her husband, Joe, their two children, and four dogs. In her free time, she enjoys family movie nights, Mexican food, and a good margarita.
